The Pagani Design PD-1701 mecha-quartz chronograph is a beautiful, economical homage of a well known "Moon Watch" or "Speedy, " produced by a legendary brand. This budget version is packed with lots of style and specs for a very respectable price. The case and bracelet are 316L stainless steel with a mixture of brushing and high polish.

It features a fixed bezel Tachymeter scale on a glossy, ceramic bezel insert. The domed sapphire crystal is curved where it meets the bezel for intentional magnification/distortion of the chapter ring and indices. The Seiko VK63 is a meca-quartz movement, which is powered by a battery. The main time function is run by quartz, and the chronograph feature is a mechanical module, thus mecha-quartz.

Battery life is stated at 2 to 3 years, depending on how often you run the chronograph. The chronograph pushers are NOT screw down. The bracelet features a milled, push button deployant clasp with 3 micro adjusts and a flip-out diver's extension.

There are solid end links and main links, and push pins are used for bracelet link sizing. This new 2022 Version 4 (v4) features a meteorite style dial, polished indices and applied logo beneath the 12 o'clock marker.

The date complication is omitted from the dial (no-date version) on this release, but there IS a ghost date position on the crown, as the same movement is being used as in version 3 of this watch.
