Vintage TAG HEUER 1000 980.013 Black Dial Submariner Diver Style Watch

  
Listing is for a very nice vintage pre-Tag Heuer 980.013. This is the earliest version that came before the L models and the much thinner later Tag models. This watch case has been professionally serviced. Fully functional and ready to wear. Case size: 38mm without crown (40mm with crown and crown guards).

See the last picture for a case comparison between a later Tag version and an early thick case example (different 1000 series but same thickness of case). The case is in nice condition for its age. Signs of use are present but not abuse or out of the ordinary for a 30 year old watch. It is a stunning watch in person and the vintage tritium lume is just amazing. Lovely creamy color which is very desirable in a vintage watch.

New battery which should be good for two years or more. The movement is original and appears clean. It is signed Heuer and is running correctly at the time of our service. Movement service history is unknown but there were service pen marks on the inside of the case back prior to ultrasonic cleaning.

The crystal is new and flawless. It has been substantially upgraded to a sapphire crystal which is nearly unscratchable! The bezel insert is original and in excellent condition for its age. Yes, there is a small imperfection here or there but overall it is in very nice condition compared to most.

This watch comes with an aftermarket Tropic STYLE diver strap which is new and unworn. Message us for available strap options. All seals (case back, crown, and crystal gasket) were replaced. This watch was pressure tested to 30m after the case service. Please message us if you have any questions.
