Vintage TAG HEUER 1000 980.013 Black Dial Submariner 844 Monnin Style Watch

  
Listing is for a nice vintage Early Thick Case (pre-Tag)Heuer 980.013. The matte black dial has some patina to it but nonetheless in very nice shape. This watch has been professionally serviced. Reliable, fully functional, and ready to wear. Case size: 38mm without crown (40mm with crown and crown guards). NOTE: The last three pictures are for comparison purposes only to show how much thicker this version is than the later Tag Heuer models. They are not the same watch nor are they included. The movement is new and running as intended. The crystal is new and flawless. It has been substantially upgraded to a sapphire crystal which is nearly unscratchable! The bezel insert is original and in very nice condition which is hard to find these days.

This watch comes with an aftermarket jubilee bracelet which should fit up to a 8 wrist. This bracelet was fitted when we acquired it.

It is rather stiff but has a clasp that is compatible with original Tag Heuer clasp covers. Pop the two pins out and swap in a clasp cover for the look and feel of the original.

All seals (case back, crown, and crystal gasket) were replaced. This watch features a screw down crown. Pressure tested to 30m at the time of service.
