TAG HEUER 1000 980.013 Black Coke 980.043 Submariner Style Dive Watch

  
Listing is for a vintage Tag Heuer 980.043 that has been upgraded with a solid stainless steel case which has been professionally refinished. The original 980.043 models were economy versions of the Tag Heuer 1000 series which featured chrome plated brass cases which dont age well. Thats not the case with this example. It will remain solid and not pit like chrome.

It has been pressure tested to 100m after the service. This watch has been professionally serviced. Reliable, fully functional, and ready to wear. Case size: 38mm without crown (40mm with crown and crown guards).

New battery which should be good for two years or more. The Swiss ETA movement is brand new is functioning as intended. The crystal is new and flawless.

It has been substantially upgraded to a sapphire crystal which is nearly unscratchable! The bezel is the same Coke style as the original 980.043 models but this has also been upgraded to a thicker style bezel. The original 980.043 models had thin cases and bezels.

This brings it up to the spec of the more professional grade 1000 series. It is built like the original bezel (raw aluminum finish) only more robust and it looks fantastic. This watch comes with one of our solid link oyster bracelets which has a Tag Heuer clasp cover added to it. This bracelet fits up to a 7.6 wrist. Additional links are available if needed.

All seals (case back, crown, and crystal gasket) were replaced. This watch features a screw down crown. This watch was pressure tested to 100m after the service. The 980.043 models also had inexpensive push-in crowns which always leaked after the original gaskets aged. This has a stainless steel screw down crown from our shop so you can actually wear this in the water.
