I have been a net collector of vintage watches over the years and now I've reached to point where I would like others to enjoy my watches/accessories or finish off projects I don't have time for. Seiko Credor Navy Blue Dial GCAX997 8J82-6A00 High Accuracy Quartz Nautilus Style Watch with Original Credor Bracelet. Condition: Pre-owned in Good to Very Good Condition. 38mm diameter excluding crown, 42mm lug-lug, 11mm thick; 18mm lug width.

Accessories: Original 18mm Credor stainless steel butterfly claps bracelet; No box/paper/tags. Water Resistance: 10 ATM (200m). The Credor 8J82 movement is the accurate to +/10 seconds per year and perhaps even a step up from the Grand Seiko 8J56 quartz watches released around the same time and was an alternative to the later 9F series used by Grand Seiko.

The watch dates to July 2004 based on the caseback serial. This is a thin and sporty watch with an beautiful navy dial that shimmers a varying dark blue color range in the light. The case polishing is on par with a Grand Seiko although this watch has received a fair amount of use with a fair share of scratches on the case/bracelet. The screwdown caseback does have a very cool sea lion emblem.

I believe this watch has a domed sapphire crystal but with it's past heavy use, there is a very light scratch just right of 6 o'clock. This Pacifique is water resistant to 200m (although this watch has not been pressure tested) and features a signed screw down crown; quickset date works without issues. Dial, hour marker, hands are all in great shape.

Lume still good strength despite age. The 5 jewel 8J82A quartz movement is beautifully built - on par with Grand Seiko - with a golden signed antimagnetic shield. The battery is about 6 months old and the the watch is keeping accurate time; I cannot guarantee accuracy to factory spec; service recommended for all vintages.

The original and signed Credor stainless steel butterfly clasp bracelet is included; it just fits my 7.5 inch wrist; if you like your watches loose, I would say this would safely work with any wrist under 7.25 inches; there are no extra links. Fortunately, you can change to a regular 18mm strap if desired.

This Credor Pacifique 8J82 series is hard to find now and offers high accuracy and luxurious design (imho a bit borrowed from the Patek Nautilus), so don't miss your chance on this luxury watch priced well below it's routine market price!
